Learn investing for free on Finmind: four courses from beginner to expert, quizzes and an AI assistant that explains terms. Money rules come with Premium.
In short
Every signed-in user gets the tutorials and the AI assistant's answers to learning questions at no cost.
Four courses, from beginner to expert, hold 34 lessons, each with key terms and a quiz.
The money rules cheatsheet, 30 rules of thumb with worked examples, comes with the Premium plan.
The assistant explains terms and strategies, and acts only after you press Approve.
Once the basics feel familiar, practise in the simulator with virtual money.
Start with a free Finmind account
It adds the market-wide order book and a practice simulator. Essentials, paid once, adds portfolio tracking from your broker's statements and orders through your own brokerage account. Premium adds valuation, the tax declaration and stop-loss orders.
How Finmind's stop-loss and take-profit work on UZSE: drafts, arming, the trigger rule, the minimum size, live versus dry-run selling and bracket pairs.
How Finmind autopilot plans, algo strategies and scheduled orders trade on UZSE for you, and the drafts, caps and live switches that keep them in check.
Learning is free on Finmind for every signed-in user. That covers two tools: the tutorials (courses, lessons and quizzes) and the AI assistant's answers to education questions. A third tool, the money rules cheatsheet, comes with the Premium plan. This guide shows what each one contains and how to use it step by step, so you can go from "what is a share" to reading a company's numbers at your own pace.
What is included for free
On the pricing page, these two are part of the Free plan:
Tutorials & Courses: structured courses on investing and personal finance, built around the Uzbek market.
AI Assistant: a chat that explains terms, instruments and strategies and answers read-only questions about the market. The Free plan allows a set number of questions a day.
The Money Rules Cheatsheet, 30 rules of thumb for money decisions with a worked example each, is a paid feature: it comes with the Premium plan, and the Expert plan includes it too.
You only need a free Finmind account. If you do not have one yet, create it at /register. The article What is Finmind gives the wider picture of the platform.
Tutorials: four courses from beginner to expert
The Tutorials page shows four learning tracks, one per level, each as a card with your progress:
Beginner: Investing from Zero, a course for Uzbek investors with 8 lessons, including What Is Investing?, Stocks vs Bonds, Common vs Preferred Shares, Risk & Return, Brokerage Accounts, Diversification, Compounding and Fees & Costs.
Intermediate: Investing Fundamentals II, 8 lessons on topics such as P/E, EPS, book value and dividends, reading financial statements, valuation, asset allocation, bonds and yields, and dollar-cost averaging.
Advanced: Advanced Investing, 10 lessons covering technical analysis, moving averages, momentum indicators, chart patterns, options and derivatives basics, risk management, sector rotation, macro and interest rates, and behavioural finance.
Expert: a course on quantitative investing, optimisation and portfolio governance, with 8 lessons that include tax-efficient investing under Uzbekistan's rules and writing an investment policy statement.
That is 34 lessons in total. Every lesson has a list of Key terms and one quiz question with several answer choices. When you submit an answer, the page tells you whether it is correct and shows an explanation. Each course card shows how many lessons you have completed and how many quizzes you have passed, and a banner at the top shows your progress across all four tracks.
How to take a lesson
Sign in and open Tutorials (the page is at /tutorials).
Pick a course card and press Start course. If you have already begun, the button reads Continue and takes you to your next unfinished lesson.
Read the lesson and its Key terms.
In the Quiz block, choose an answer and press Submit answer. If it is not right, press Try again.
Press Mark complete to record the lesson in your progress.
Press Next lesson to move on, or Back to syllabus to see the whole course.
The lessons are educational content for general information, not personal advice, and the figures in examples are illustrative.

4Step 4: Expert.Quantitative investing, optimisation and portfolio governance.
Money rules: 30 rules of thumb (Premium)
The Money Rules Cheatsheet comes with the Premium plan. It collects 30 well-known rules of thumb and explains each in plain words with a worked example. The rules are grouped into six themes: Grow your money, Manage risk, Retire well, Save & protect, Spend & borrow wisely, and Value your time.
You will find familiar tools such as the Rule of 72, which estimates how many years an investment takes to double, and the Rule of 115 for tripling. A few rules come with a note on how they apply in Uzbekistan, for example where a rule is based on the US system.
To use it:
Open Money Rules from the menu, or press Money Rules cheatsheet → at the top of the Tutorials page.
Pick a theme with the chips, or choose All.
Type a word into the search box, such as "emergency" or "72", to narrow the list.
These are general rules of thumb to sharpen your intuition, not personalised advice. If you want to go deeper on one topic, our articles on compound interest and the emergency fund explain the ideas behind two of them.
The AI assistant for learning
The AI Assistant is a chat window where you can ask questions in your own words. For learning, it can:
explain money rules such as the 50/30/20 budget, the emergency fund or the Rule of 72
describe instruments, for example the difference between common and preferred shares, or what a bond is
explain strategies such as buy-and-hold, diversification, rebalancing and dollar-cost averaging
explain how the platform's features work, including the different ways to trade on Finmind
It also gives read-only answers that use the platform's own data and calculations: whether a share looks cheap or expensive, with P/E, P/B and ROE; whether a share passes a halal screen; a screen of shares by sector or valuation; upcoming or recent dividends; what is resting in the order book for a security; and which bank offers the best exchange rate for a currency. Read-only answers do not change anything in your Finmind account.
Questions versus actions
The assistant can also prepare actions, such as an order. It never acts on its own: it proposes the exact action and does nothing until you press Approve, and you can press Reject instead. Placing an order this way uses manual orders, which are in the Free plan, while a bracket (a take-profit paired with a stop) comes with the Premium plan. A scheduled order or an autopilot plan needs Algo Trading, which comes with the Expert plan.
How to ask a question
Open AI Assistant (the page is at /assistant).
Type your question in the message box, for example "what is a preferred share" or "explain the rule of 72".
Press Send and read the answer.
If the assistant proposes an action you did not intend, press Reject.
From learning to practice
Once the basics feel familiar, you can try them without risking money in the simulator, which gives you 100M UZS of virtual cash at real market prices. Our guide to the free portfolio, simulator and order book shows how. You can also browse real UZSE data on the public /stocks and /uzse-bonds pages to connect what you learned with actual companies and bonds.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The tutorials and the AI assistant are included for every signed-in user, and the pricing page lists them in the Free plan. You only need to create a free Finmind account. The money rules cheatsheet is the exception: it comes with the Premium plan.
There are 34 lessons across four courses: 8 in the beginner course, 8 in the intermediate course, 10 in the advanced course and 8 in the expert course. Each lesson has key terms and a quiz question with an explanation of the answer.
Yes. When you mark a lesson complete and answer its quiz, your progress is stored with your Finmind account. The Tutorials page shows how many lessons you have completed in each course and across all four, and the Continue button takes you to your next unfinished lesson.
Not without your approval. The assistant only proposes an action and does nothing until you press Approve. Education questions and read-only questions, such as asking about a share's valuation, never change anything in your Finmind account.
